When revered HBCU Fayetteville State University was looking to increase their number of applicants, we knew we could help. We wanted to bring in more students from our region, but we also wanted to expand outside of our normal footprint to reach more prospective students across the state.
Our project started with a complete website rebuild, followed by a high-impact advertising campaign to reach first-year students, adult learners, military, and cyber-security students. The results speak for themselves — together we generated the highest number of first-year students in 20 years and the highest ever number of military-affiliated learners.
- We used four cohesive and engaging campaigns to reach our target demographics, placing them where we knew our audience was — including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google Ads, CTV, preroll, and display advertising.
- We connected with the community through engaging radio, television, and billboard ads, all in highly visible channels and locations.
- We set up tracking so we were able to follow every call, form fill-out, and button click — showing our client every lead that was generated.
What happened.
Our campaign for this beloved HBCU was certainly historical. Our summer campaign resulted in the largest full-time freshman class in 20 years, the highest ever military-affiliated student enrollment, historic high retention rates, and residence halls reaching 100% capacity. Our combination of a strong digital presence in the places where students were, along with a boost from local media, packed a 1-2 punch in spreading the word about the top-notch university right in our own backyard.
